December 2007 ~ $5400 to our First Cub – Ella
December 2008 – $1000 to BC Children’s Hospital honoring those from Vancouver Island
April 2009 – $2500 raised through Quarters for Cubs by the Sole Sisters to our little sister Charlotte
June 2009 – 18 Sole Sisters participate in the HSBC ChildRUN for BC Children’s Oncology Ward and Research – we raised $5500!
October 2009 – Our Marathon Relay raised $5275 to support our local kid’s ‘cancer’ ward here at Victoria General Hospital
December 2009:
* Annual Westhaver charity game – We raised $550 on December 22, 2009 and a whole lot of fun playing a game with big kids and small for our annual hockey game that brings together players of all sizes playing their favorite game for kids that are unable to play. This year was extra special as Jack Westhaver starred in the annual scrimmage after nine and half months of intensive treatment for his leukemia! This fundraiser supported the VGH pediatric ward.
* Our annual Boxing Day skate was very exciting… bringing family and friends together to wear off some turkey and pack on support for our local VGH pediatric ward. We raised $438.00 in donations and TEAM JACK shirt sales during our annual skate which also brought our total funds raised to over $20,000… all to help kids with illness get well!
Thank you to everyone who believes in the importance of taking care of kids…including facilities like Bear Mtn. Arena and Pearkes Arena for their support, adults, parents and kids of all sizes… as we all know and all want – ALL children to have a chance to play!
